Tour Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVAL AT SRINAGAR

Upon arrival at the Srinagar airport, you will meet our representative; he will assist you and start your journey towards Kargil, road towards Kargil is very scenic. The first enchanting beauty which made you spell bound is drive through boulevard roadside Dal Lake, within two hours you left Srinagar and started running on the curves of Himalaya with spectacular Indus. As the time pass on your eyes experiencing the sparkle of green mountains with snow cap cover it. Then comes the climb up to Zojila pass (11575 ft) and the views are breath taking, further destination is Drass you can stop over for a cup of tea and experience why it is the second coldest inhabited place in the world. At Drass there situated War Memorial of 1999 war heroes. Later you will reach at Kargil, check in to the pre booked hotel.

Day 2: KARGIL TO RANGDUM

In the morning after breakfast at the hotel approaching towards Rangdum you feel like you are going to north Russian village. On the way visit Kharste Khar rock statue it is 7th century Buddha statue, it is the heights rock statue in Ladakh 13mtr tall. Passing Suru valley meanwhile you will see the Nun Kun peaks and the gorgeous beauty stands with all little peaks of Himalaya in the blue sky. There is glacier from those peaks called Nun Kun glacier. Later you will reach Rangdum, you can visit Rangdum monastery it has museum that feature the collection of Tibetan and other regional artefacts. The view of the surrounding valley is breath taking from the monastery. Later check in to the camp.

Day 3: RANGDUM TO PADUM

In the morning after having breakfast at the campsite, visit the nomadic huts where they make the yak cheese and butter after that on the top of Penzila pass ( 14436 ft) here is twin lake namely Lhangtso & Lhotso. After crossing Penzila pass view of Drang Drung glacier. Then visit the Zongkhul monastery located just before the trails that ascend to the Omasi-la pass. The monastery belongs to the Drukpa school of Tibetan Buddhism. This monastery constructed like a nest clinging on the hill, the monastery is associated with the famous Indian yogi Naropa, according to the legends Naropaus used to meditate here between two caves around which the monastery is built. Thangkas and painting within the monastery are unique too. After that visit Sani monastery is in Zanskar valley, it is close to the Sani village. This monastery was constructed by Kanishka, the famous Kusham emperor, during the 1st century. The Shrine belongs to the Drukpa Kargyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. This monastery is considered as one of the oldest religious sites in Zanskar. Out of 108 chortens constructed by king Kanishka in the region, this monastery was established for housing an ancient 6m high idol. This Gompa is counted amongst the 8 holiest Buddhist sites in the world. Check in to the hotel.

Day 4: PADUM TO ZANGLA & STONGDAY

After having breakfast at the hotel, today you are going to explore the monastery in Zanskar. Zangla monastery is known for being the base or an important point of major trek in Zanskar region. As the attractions, the place has an old castle which is almost in ruins there is a nunnery and ancient monastery in a nearby village of Tsakar which are worth seeing. The view from the castle is simply spectacular, thus one must not miss to visit this tourist attraction. After that visit Stongday monastery this monastery is the second largest and oldest monasteries in the Zanskar region. This is 11th century old monastery is must visit attraction located about 20km away from Padum. It displays several artistic works in the seven temples inside the monastery. Amongst the temples Tshogs-khang is beautifully decorated with exquisite paintings of the background which are outlined with gold. Stongday is also a home to over 60 Gelukspa monks. The best time to visit this popular tourist attraction is during the Gustor festival which is held on the 28-29th day of every eleventh month of the Tibetan calendar. By the evening back to hotel.

Day 5: PADUM TO KARGIL

After having breakfast drive to Kargil, on the way you can see the Drang Drung glacier after that cross the Penzila pass (14436 ft) and at the top of Penzila enjoy the beauty of twin lake namely Lhangtso & Lhotso. Further that you will reach Rangdum this place is surrounded by colourful hills on one side and glacier encrusted Rocky Mountains on the other, upon reaching Rangdum visit the beautiful Rangdum monastery. Later you will see the Nun & Kun peak and suru valley. By the evening you will reach at Kargil.

Day 6: KARGIL TO LEH

After breakfast drive to leh which is 234 km from Kargil, enroute visit the ancient rock statue of Maitreya Buddha at Mulbekh after that Namikala pass at height of (12139 ft).Further that another la that’s Fotola pass (13478 ft), later stop at Lamayuru monastery its one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh, Moonland, Magnetic hill Which known as Gravity hill, further that you will reach the confluence of Zanskar & Indus River. Later Pathar sahib Gurudwara constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak it was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to Ladakh, By the evening at Leh and check in to the hotel.

Day 7: LEH TO PANGONG

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to Pangong Lake. Pangong Lake in Ladakh is the largest salted lake in the world located at height of 14256 ft. You will drive to Pangong Tso from leh, you will reach Karu and after that you will cross Changla pass (17370 ft) which is 3rd highest motorable road in the word and further reach Tangste village where passport and inner line permit are checked. After one hour reach at Pangong Lake, this lake acts an important breeding ground for variety of birds such as bar headed goose, Brahmini ducks. The lake also supports a number of species of wildlife including Kiang and Marmot. Check in to the camp at Spangmik.

Day 8: PANGONG TO LEH

In the morning watch the mesmerizing view of sunrise over the lake and the barren mountains which appear golden due to sun rays. After that having breakfast at the campsite, leave for leh via Changla pass. On the way first you will visit Thiksey monastery this monastery is considered to be the one of the most beautiful monasteries in Ladakh and belong to the Gelukspa order. Thiksey monastery is the twelve storey monastery located in the most famous position i.e. on an island mountain. Later you will visit 3 idiots school at Shey village is also known as Druk Padma Karpo School, the school shot popularity after it was featured in bollywood 3 idiots. 3 idiots school shows rich culture of Ladakh. After reaching at leh visit Hall of fame is a museum constructed and maintained by Indian army in the memory of the soldiers who had lost their lives during Kargil wars. By the evening you will reach at the hotel.

Day 9: LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY

Today after having breakfast at the hotel, you are going visit to Nubra valley, Nubra means the valley of flowers on the way crossing the world highest motorable pass Khardungla (18380 ft), Later you will reach the famous sand dunes of Hunder also known as “Desert in the Sky” you can enjoy camel safari on double humped bacterian camels at Hunder. Check into the camp.

Day 10: NUBRA VALLEY TO LEH

After having breakfast at the camp, start your journey towards leh. On the way back visit Diskit monastery, this monastery is the oldest monastery and largest Buddhist monastery in Nubra valley. It belongs to Gelukspa sect of the Tibetan Buddhism. It was built by Lama Sherab Zangpo of Stod in about 1420 AD. Back to leh by the same route crossing the great Khardungla pass. Later check in to the hotel by the evening.

  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • On case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restriction may be cancelled the tour, in such cases we will provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.
